Greetings friends and fans, Lucy here. Well.... we thought we'd seen it all having lived with these crazy human servants for all these years. This week, however, really was a new one on us. We ran into the garden on Saturday afternoon hoping to jump into the new pet taxi and enjoy a ride out somewhere, only to find the male servant curled up fast asleep on our beds!!!
We know he's worked hard recently and that the female servant likes a bit of peace and quiet but this really does take the biscuit. We protested to the female servant very loudly in the hope she'd throw him out of the car so that we could climb in, but instead she locked the car (with him still inside!) stroked us on the head and gave us a small biscuit. A biscuit is more than acceptable but a ride in the car would also have been nice. Sadly it wasn't to be as by the time the male servant was 'released' it was almost time for bed. Needless to say, we were less than impressed.
Onto nicer news, us hounds have developed a bit of a craving for bananas recently! The servants have been bringing us small banana sandwiches each day as it helps keep us mobile and 'cramp-free' as we get older. It's a tasty treat too so we're grateful to them for the banana sarnie! Although there is always room for improvement with these servants, this is definitely one of their better ideas so if they read this in between being locked in the car and all their other chores we hope they take note and keep up the good work!
Next week it's Ben's 10th birthday so we're looking forward to some nice home-baked treats in celebration of his milestone! We'll put lots of pics on following his birthday weekend and if you want to send him lots of treats we're sure he won't refuse!
Until next week, please keep out of the back of cars so your dogs can get in and always bake lots of treats for your doggies. They'll always be happy if you follow those basic rules! Goes without saying they need walkies too!

Greetings from the Hound Mobile! Here I am (Kylie) in the all new Care & Walk Pet Services taxi! Although the taxi service is for lots of dogs and other animals, the servants kindly let me try the new crates and bedding first and I've very much given them the doggy thumbs up! We've also instructed the servants to take us on lots of nice car rides when the taxi isn't in use so over coming weeks we'll be posting lots of pics of us on location! We've written a list of places we'd like to visit. Mine are: Cannock Chase, Chasewater, the nice park in Tettenhall and anywhere where there's some sea. Obviously, I want to meet lots of nice people so I can get plenty of fuss and treats. Lucy has asked to go to Colwyn Bay to look at some sea, Brewood, for a nice canal walk, Shrewsbury for a nice river walk and the Lake District for a nice, well, lake walk. Ben has asked to go somewhere that has a pet shop, somewhere that has a pub and somewhere there's likely to be a nice person cooking food for him to sample. All very exciting and we're looking forward to our Autumn adventures. Look forward to posting more updates soon. Love, Kylie Dog, Ben & Lucy xx
Well hello one and all and welcome to this week's dog blog! This is Ben speaking from the comfort of his dog bed. As anyone who knows about retired greyhounds will testify, we don't ask for much now do we? We like a nice clean bed to lie on, we like an optional sofa or armchair to snooze on too, we like to be taken for a couple of short to medium length walks per day (although we'll do longer if the humans insist, which being them, they often do). Most importantly, however, we like two square meals a day, with some nice fish a couple of times a week. We also enjoy plenty of chews and a steady supply of dog biscuits. So there you go; that isn't much at all is it?
A good doggy morning to one and all. We hope you are enjoying your weekend. It's marathon day in Wolverhampton today so we're looking forward to our walk in a while so we can go and say hello to all the extra people in the area today- and maybe get a fuss and some treats, you never know!
Well as you are well aware, we had to endure our baths last week. They weren't nice and to add insult to injury the servants keep walking up to us and smelling our heads and complimenting themselves on how clean we are and how nice we smell. This does absolutely nothing for our credibility and we would kindly request that they stop this behaviour right now, like immediately, like this second!!!
Just as we get the baths out the way, something very troubling came through the post last week...... flea and worming treatments!! Just when you think the storms have passed another one always seems to be lurking round the corner in this house. It should be called 'Dog House' as we seem to be permanently in one. We don't see the humans tipping water over themselves in the garden or putting flea treatment all over themselves and we're going to start a petition to get them to lead by example
The look on Ben's face above says it all. As this photo was taken he was kindly requesting the male servant to leave him alone, leave his teeth alone, leave his nails alone and to stop smelling his head (or words to that effect).
We hear the Pet Minicab is nearing completion. It would be done much quicker if the servants concentrated their efforts on sorting that instead of putting gunge all over us. Hopefully it will be ready in the next few weeks and then we can finally try it out. The accessories arrived this week and we're hoping the male servant will get his act together and unbox them all like now, like immediately, like this second.
Until next week, take care and stay dry as we hear rain is coming, or is that another bath???

We are occasionally lively greyhounds who live with two human servants. Sadly our house- mate Ben crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 23/09/18, just a few hours after writing his final blog. We miss him so much but we know he's running free and no longer in pain.
