Hi all! It's your favourite hounds, Ben, Lucy and Kylie here.
Do you like the above picture of the three of us with the servants? It was taken at the reunion at Daybreaks Kennels two years ago this week. The reunion gave Kylie and some of her former housemates (not in the picture) a chance to meet up again, having all been re-homed after their owner passed away in 2014. It was a really enjoyable few hours and Kylie enjoyed seeing some of her former house mates and plenty of hounds at the kennels she hadn't met before too.
Sadly, the four hounds whom Kylie had lived with prior to being re-homed have all now passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Despite the sadness of losing her owner and now her former housemates, Kylie continues to enjoy her life with us (Ben & Lucy) and servants Andy & Justine.
Well it's certainly been cold, wet and windy at times this week hasn't it?
Despite the weather, we still enjoy being out and about and meeting old and new friends alike.
It takes a little longer for our walks at this time of year as the servants insist on keeping us snug and warm by dressing us in our winter garments. As it's exceptionally cold at times and we're advancing in years we now wear two coats at this time of year- a thinner coat and then our winter coat over the top. Also, because Kylie suffers from lupus in her nails she also wears a boot occasionally to protect any vulnerable nails she may have.
We had a really long walk today (Saturday). It took us two hours to walk just under four miles but we absolutely loved it. There was a snow flurry, rain, wind and hail at various points but we made it round and now we're all cosy in our favourite chairs and sofa spots while the servants are busy preparing our food (and theirs too if time permits).
Right, after another exhausting few hours of 'dog-blogging' we're off for our food and another lie down.
Until next week, stay dry and if you can't stay dry wear something waterproof!
Kylie, Ben & Lucy.

We are occasionally lively greyhounds who live with two human servants. Sadly our house- mate Ben crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 23/09/18, just a few hours after writing his final blog. We miss him so much but we know he's running free and no longer in pain.
