Hi everyone! It's your favourite Benny Hound here, bringing you this week's blog, live from our exclusive Care and Walk sofa. Before I get into the main part of this week's chat, I
thought I'd share a picture of us with the female servant (above). Hope you like it.
We get lots and lots of fan mail each week as you'd expect, and we are often asked loads of questions too.
These questions range from 'what is your favourite food?' to 'what would you want to be if you weren't a greyhound?' We read all of your mail when we're not sleeping but as you can appreciate, we can't respond to all of the letters we receive or we'd be awake for more than 4 hours per day, which is actually illegal in the greyhound world. Anyway, the best question we've received this week is 'what music do you hounds enjoy listening to? The question comes from a lady called Pauline in Pattingham.
Well Pauline, to answer your question, all three of us like very different music.
Kylie is partial to a little jazz music and can often be heard humming along to Nat King Cole or Louis Armstrong. She also likes a bit of Frank Sinatra as she likes to do things 'her way' too.
Lucy on the other hand loves 80s pop music. She loves to boogie to anything from Bananarama to Vanilla Ice. In particular she likes Human League and the servants have caught her miming to 'Don't you want me baby?' on more than one occasion.
Now I am a very refined old gent and I love my classical music. In a morning I'll take in a little Bach, over lunchtime I like Beethoven, especially Choral Symphony, and then by tea time I'm ready for something really lively like Rachmanioff or Mozart. I also like modern classics, especially by Howard Shore, in fact I'm listening to the Lord of the Rings theme as I'm pawing away at the keyboard. On special occasions I'll compliment the music with a little bread and pink salmon, and that's my idea of heaven quite frankly.
Right, that's this week's blog done and dusted. If you'll excuse me I'm off to put a little Brahms on the record player and I'll try and convince one of the servants to bring me something nice to eat.
Until next week, keep the fan mail coming and if you want to buy us anything we're always short on Bonios (two boxes a week is never enough- these servants are very tight at times)
All the best,
Ben, Lucy and Kylie

We are occasionally lively greyhounds who live with two human servants. Sadly our house- mate Ben crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 23/09/18, just a few hours after writing his final blog. We miss him so much but we know he's running free and no longer in pain.
