Evening all, Kylie Hound here with your weekly update!
Firstly, can I apologise for the absence of Hound Blog last week? I was sat in a sunny beer garden in Worcestershire, as you can see from the picture and it completely slipped my mind. Lucy and Ben said they did remember but were too happy snoozing to remind me to write it and even if they had reminded me I was too distracted by the beer, as I'm sure you can tell!
Ben, Lucy and myself had a lovely time catching a few rays of sunshine and meeting lots of new people. I was hoping the servants would give me a sip of their beer but selfishly they kept it all to themselves! Anyway, to make up for it they took us on lots of nice walks and we visited lots of new places which we all really enjoyed.
Unfortunately, the good work of the servants was undone the following Wednesday. We all got excited at the prospect of another car ride and dutifully jumped into the Pet Minicab wondering where we were off to next. Well, you can imagine the rush of disappointment and dread when 20 minutes later the servant pulled up outside a v....... I can't bring myself to say it. I'll spell it instead: V.E.T.E.R.I.N.A.R.Y. P.R.A.C.T.I.C.E. I think that's how you spell it, not bad for a dog of nearly 12 eh?! Well anyway, that's where we spent the next hour. On the plus side the V.E.T that we saw was really nice and she was very gentle giving us our booster injections and she even gave us a treat afterwards. We were then all weighed and unsurprisingly I'm the lightest and Big Belly Ben is the heaviest. I was also told I'm the cutest out of the three of us and am also very good at spelling so on the whole not a bad experience although I'm in no hurry to go back- Lucy is still quivering, she hates going to the V.E.T.S too!
Right, if you'll excuse me I'm off to complete the teatime crossword and read a dictionary.
Until next week!

We are occasionally lively greyhounds who live with two human servants. Sadly our house- mate Ben crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 23/09/18, just a few hours after writing his final blog. We miss him so much but we know he's running free and no longer in pain.
