Good evening dear readers. This is Lucy Hound here. Ben, Kylie & myself hope you are okay and have enjoyed fun-filled weeks!
Us hounds have had a fairly steady week: we did a little work then had a little kip, did a little work then had a little food, did a little work then had a little walk (okay the work bit isn't true but you get the gist).
Anyway, it had been a normal week for us hounds, then yesterday, something truly amazing happened. We were minding our own business having a well earned rest, when suddenly we were awoken by a strange bright light outside. We thought about it for a while and had a little tete a tete with each other but still couldn't figure it out. Anyway, we went back to sleep as it was clearly beyond our comprehension and we decided it wasn't worth wasting valuable resting time thinking about it any further.
However, the mystery all became clear about 5 hours later when we were woken by the servants for our walk. The male servant announced with real joy in his voice that we wouldn't be needing our outdoor coats today as the "SUN IS SHINING!!! "
At that point it all became clear, we knew we'd seen it before but not for at least 5 months! It was the SUN that had appeared and this had caused the light to shine and this had woken us up that morning!
Off we went for our stroll and it's true to say we had a lovely walk and it was great to get some sunshine on our backs- a bit of vitamin D does our natural coats the world of good and it puts the servants in a good mood too- although we could have done without the male servant singing 'Sunshine on my shoulders' by John Denver for half of the walk. Nothing is ever perfect sadly.
Anyway, we made the most of our walk yesterday as the sun disappeared again today and we had to go out in our rain coats, as per usual :-(
Until next week, here's hoping for more nice weather. If you spot any do let us know so we can come to wherever you are for our walks!

We are occasionally lively greyhounds who live with two human servants. Sadly our house- mate Ben crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 23/09/18, just a few hours after writing his final blog. We miss him so much but we know he's running free and no longer in pain.
